The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the following:
Vehicular Traffic Advisory:
The 63-hour bridge closure scheduled for 8pm this Sunday night (4/21) into Wednesday morning (4/24) has been CANCELED.
The 63-hour bridge closures will resume Sunday (4/28) at 8pm, unless otherwise advised.
Be advised that overnight full closures will occur as follows:
- Monday (4/22) – 7pm to Tuesday 6am.
- Tuesday (4/23) – 7pm to Wednesday 6am.
- Wednesday (4/24) – 11pm to Thursday 6am.
- Thursday (4/25) – 11pm to Friday 6am.
- Friday (4/26) – 11:30pm to Saturday 8am.
DETOUR INFO
Motorist alternative options to cross the Connecticut River during these overnight bridge closures will be as follows:
- Traveling to/from the South – Use the signed detour utilizing the Baldwin Bridge (I-95 Old Saybrook).
- Traveling to/from the North – utilize the Arrigoni Bridge (Middletown-Portland).
