Maritime Traffic Advisory

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is issuing the follow maritime advisory for the East Haddam Swing Bridge.

Marine Advisory:

Mariners are advised that the bridge is back to the normal USCG required operating schedule.

The bridge is currently opening on the hour (as needed) from 6am-8pm. Bridge Operator can be reached at 860-218-4973.

Mariners are advised that the contractor’s suspended scaffold has been removed from spans 3 and 4, the contractor still has scaffolding hung in span 2.

The tide clearance board is recommended as the best reference for gauging clearance at time of passage. The board is located on the bulkhead at Goodspeed, it has been set to indicate vertical clearance to the bottom of the bridge span.
