Project Update — Week of June 20, 2022
Award of the East Haddam Swing Bridge Project Contract
The Connecticut Department of Transportation has awarded the contract for the East Haddam Swing Bridge Project, State Project No. 0040-0141 to American Bridge Company. A Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be given to American Bridge Company on July 7, 2022, and work is anticipated to start on-site in Fall 2022.
Project 0040-0141 is a bridge rehabilitation project involving steel repairs in all spans, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, operator house repairs, construction of a new cantilevered sidewalk, and a new approach sidewalk.
