The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the following:

Overnight Bridge Closures:
The contractor will be performing overnight bridge closures as follows:
- Sun. night (1/21) into Mon. morning – 7pm to 6am
- Mon. night (1/22) into Tues. morning – 7pm to 6am
- Tues. night (1/23) into Wed. morning – 7pm to 6am
- Wed. night (1/24) into Thur. morning – 7pm to 6am
- Thur. night (1/25) into Fri. morning – 7pm to 6am
- Fri. night (1/26) into Sat. morning – 7pm to 8am
Any changes to these scheduled closures will be communicated.
Be advised that a 63-hour bridge closure has been scheduled for Sunday, January 28th at 8pm, with the bridge reopening Wednesday, January 31st at 11:00am. (weather permitting)
DETOUR INFO
Motorist alternative options to cross the Connecticut River during these bridge closures will be as follows:
Traveling to/from the South – Use the signed detour utilizing the Baldwin Bridge (I-95 Old Saybrook).
Traveling to/from the North – utilize the Arrigoni Bridge (Middletown-Portland).
