The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the following:
Vehicular Traffic Advisory:
The 63-hour bridge closure scheduled for this Sunday night (1/28) into Wed. morning (1/31) has been RE-SCHEDULED.
The next 63-hour Swing Bridge closure will occur on Sunday (2/4) beginning at 8pm, bridge will reopen to traffic on Wednesday (2/7) at 11am.
Be advised that overnight bridge closures will occur Sunday night (1/28) through Friday night (2/2) at the following times:
- Sun. night into Mon. morning – 7:00pm to 6:00am
- Mon. night into Tues. morning – 7:00pm to 6:00am
- Tues. night into Wed. morning – 7:00pm to 6:00am
- Wed. night into Thur. morning – 7:00pm to 6:00am
- Thur. night into Fri. morning – 7:00pm to 6:00am
- Fri. night into Sat. morning – 7:00pm to 8:00am

Motorist alternative options to cross the Connecticut River during these overnight bridge closures will be as follows:
- Traveling to/from the South – Use the signed detour utilizing the Baldwin Bridge (I-95 Old Saybrook).
- Traveling to/from the North – utilize the Arrigoni Bridge (Middletown-Portland).
